London 2012 Olympic Torchbearer

In 2012 I was nominated by friends at work and was subsequently awarded the opportunity to be a London 2012 Torchbearer. It was a fantastic, emotional and humbling experience.
Photographs from the day are shown below.

The London 2012 Olympic Torch, a work of art, with 8000 holes symbolising each of the 8000 Torchbearers.

The "kiss", and the flame is transfered from Cassidy's Torch. (the inspirational Cassidy is a Royal Marine, injured in Afghanistan - he ran for the first time on his new leg in the Torch Relay ...)

At 7.30 in the morning of the 4th July 2012, in Peterborough, running my 300m section of the London 2012 Torch Relay.

... a Team of Torchbearers ...

Together with my family, Jamie, Evelyn, and Emily.

And I met with Andrew in central Peterborough ....
